Landfill Radiation - Falcon-1EXLCD Extended Range Gamma Area Monitor
Description
The Falcon-1EXLCD Area Monitor uses a 6 cm3 Csl scintillation crystal with a PMT to detect gamma radiation in an area. The monitor houses a sensitive scintillation detector and an extended range sensor that allows it to detect very small to large radioactive sources within 1 second and display it on a front panel LCD to inform users of the radiation levels. In case the reading crosses a specified threshold, the Falcon-1EXLCD is equipped with a loud piezoelectric alarm capable of alerting all individuals in the area of the radiation hazard.
