Fixed Extractive Gas Analyzer - MRU SWG 300-1

SKU SWG-300 GTIN : 63073027

About the manufacturer

MRU is a German company making extremely well-engineered emission monitoring systems. Their products are very durable and constructed to withstand everyday use in punishing environments

Product Overview

The SWG 300-1 is a multi-component extractive cold-dry gas analyzer. The NDIR modules measure continuously, selectively and highly accurately within the ppm range. NO2 is catalytically converted into NO for true NOx measurements.

Features

  • Standardized 19″ racks are mounted in a steel metal enclosure with fixing eylets for wall mounting.
  • Complete gas conditioning using electrical gas cooler with automatic condensate draining pump, with high-grade sample gas filtration for separation of water, tar and dirt.
  • Sample flow monitoring and alarm, with auto-zero and auto-span calibration.
  • RS 485 for data communication and 8 channel, user free configurable analog outputs 4 … 20 mA, self powered
  • Air conditioned weather proof enclosure (for outdoor mounting)

1. Does it need to be installed outside of the hazardous (C1D2) area?

Yes, the standard configuration does not meet C1D2 classification requirements; however, the SWG100 is capable of being outfitted for C1D2 conditions. The quote would have to be revised to include an additional SS enclosure with a constant purge system that calls for continuous compressed air supply. Please let me know if this is a requirement, and will absolutely update the quote accordingly.

 2. Does it need to be installed under a canopy or shaded area?

If you are installing outdoors, yes, it will need to be under a canopy or shaded area.

3. What do they recommend for sample lines? Our standard has been 1/8" or 1/4" 316SS tubing (Silconert coated) with heat trace and insulation for wet gas samples. Do you recommend heat tracing the wet samples to keep above dew point?

The recommended/provided tubing size is as follows (Teflon (PTFE) gas sampling line - 0.16"/0.24" 3.28' (DN4/6mm, 1m length) (MAX 200 meters) @ $12.00/m). SS tubing in the same dimensions is absolutely acceptable and widely used as well. Heat tracing can certainly be helpful, mainly in colder environments where condensate freezing within sample lines is possible/expected. Otherwise the condensate auto-drains that are external to the unit, and when installed as close as possible to the unit will remove 99.9% of moisture before entering the unit. Inside the unit, there is additional condensate removal via a continuous peristaltic pump system.

4.
Can you quote a 115VAC power supply?
Absolutely, no problem at all. There is no price change; it is just as simple as leaving a note on the order.

5.
Does it require any calibration or carrier gas that we have to provide?
Though it's not a requirement, unless you wish to set-up auto-calibration, we can also provide calibration gas if desired, as it can be helpful to have on hand. Typically, we include one cylinder of a 60%CH4/40%CO2/500ppm H2S mix for units that include an H2S sensor when we quote for the start-up/commissioning or calibration/repair service. But we can quote any mix or cylinder size you may be interested in.
